Beautiful Korean actress, Han Ga In and Boys Before Flower star, Kim Bum, recently are chosen by one of UN organizations that works to give humanity help and improves kids and mothers development in developed countries, UNICEF, as ambassadors for Korea.
Both are chosen as ambassadors because certain reasons. As quoted from Soompi, last year, Kim Bum has participated on UNICEF event called 'Birthday Campaign.' Birthday Campaign is an action from an individual who refuses to accept any birthday gifts from their friends and fans and suggests that they should use the money not to buy any birthday gifts. But, they should use the money as donations to pay surgery fees, medical vaccines, mosquito net, insect spray, and other things that children need. This action was quite successful since Kim Bum's fans saved their money, so they could donate as Kim Bum suggested. Even Kim Bum's Japanese fans, gave their saving money to UNICEF Korea directly.
Han Ga In was also involved in another humanity project. Last year she received a job as a narrator for a documentary titled 'Human Documentary Love- I'm Sorry Mom' that was aired on MBC. Since that, Han Ga In gives more attention toward poor people. She is also actively being involved on campaigns to defend poor people's rights.
Han Ga In and Kim Bum will start their duty by doing filming for UNICEF's short commercial.
