Fashion products that are used by casts of popular TV Series can be inspirations of fashion collections that are sold for public. One of clothes collections that is inspired by TV Series Gossip Girl fashion was launched in Coterie Trade Show in New York, on Monday, September 25th.
The collection is created by Romeo & Juliet Couture collaborating with Warner Bros, which produces the TV Series. Similar clothes that are being used by characters such as Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leightoon Meester) on the TV Series were seen for the first time on Coterie Trade Show.
Blouse, sweater, and chiffon gown were displayed on the collection. Each was sold for from US $ 80 to US $ 200. That collection would be available on shopping centers in the USA, among others are Kitson, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Next year, the collection will be followed by accessories collections and handbags.
This was not the first time that fashion on Gossip Girl became source of inspiration of fashion collection that is sold for public. Last year, Kelly Rutherford, who plays Lily van der Woodsen, a stylish woman who also Serena's mother, designed some handbags and bags for Shopping TV channel, QVC.
According to Rutherford, Lily character loved the bags. "Lily would have those bags in every color. Those bags' prices are affordable, why not? Plus, those bags are suitable for anyone," she said. "I designed those bags for stylish working mothers as well as urban women," she added.
