Maybe you surprised when you knew that The CW decided to be re-airing The Vampire Diaries and Nikita episodes than aired the new episodes of Smallville and Supernatural. Entertainment Weekly got some info from CW Insider about the reasons. Frankly fans, I don't understand with some reasons. So, maybe you can help me understand them.
1. They want more sampling
The CW decided to repeat The Vampire Diaries and Nikita episode because they want more sampling about mid-season debut. I don't really know what it means.
2. They want to compete with other TV Shows from other TV NetworksJust as The CW's TV Series which have mid-season debuts, some other popular TV Shows from other TV Networks also have their own debut. The CW decides to repeat The Vampire Diaries particularly because they want to compete with against up Idol. It makes me wonder if they don't really thing Supernatural and Smallville are strong enough to compete with other TV Shows.
3. The new episode will mess up with the schedules in some cities
I don't really know what it means since I'm not fans from the USA, but they said if they aired the new episodes they will ruin some local market pre-emptions that are going to mess with the scheduling of tonight’s shows in certain cities (Chicago and Baltimore, if you must know).
Don't worry, just wait for the new episodes two weeks later.
