Message In a Bottle told all about a woman was have one son, Theresa that worked in the research part of a newspaper. At one time he found a bottle that inside was gotten a letter with a logo and the letter in typed with the manual typewriter. Read the letter made Theresa be mesmerised. Felt curious, he said to his editor about the letter.

The editor who also felt that this was the interesting matter then installed an announcement to his readers to inform to this newspaper if they found the other letter couple. Finally assemled three love letters that were allocated for Chaterine. Theresa that already familiar with the research then tried abundant who the writer of the romantic love letter. After tracing the logo, the letter kind and the manual typewriter and his paper kind, finally she knew the position of this man.

Initially Theresa only was curious to meet this man and want to make him the research material for the news that would he wrote. After meeting Garret, this man. Theresa’s view changed. Garret on one hand was male that was friendly and soft but on the other side of him kept the wound that in.

Garret lost Chaterine, the beloved wife because of being sick the illness and Garret were also blamed on his death. Kept the sorrow that in, Garret became male that was lonely and the loner. Theresa evidently also kept the sorrow and the bitter memory when taking his husband by surprise had affair. Both of them immediately found the similarity of the past.

Finally they fell in love mutually. But Garret was still being tied with the past. During finally found that Theresa initially only wanted to make use of him, Garret angry and left Theresa. Both of them was in the dilemma.

The Personal comment:
There were many drama films, but this film had peculliarity . Relations of the two people according to me was something unique. Why unique? Their method communicated and dialogues in this film were unique. As the lover of the film, never although I heard or read him in the film or the novel. Possibly because the two of them have been mature and not looked for the game of the love but the living couple.

Finally the form of their relations became unique.
"Let’s say, how the form of our relations? Only a like this or will develop to another thing?"
"I had the number of your telephone and you had the number" of "my telephone, will you telephone me?"

Or when Garret had finally telephoned Theresa after so many for a long time did not telephone Theresa".. I was not still knowing what must was said by me, could you give the suggestion?"

It were several unique dialogues around two people who had been wounded because of the love and felt stutter, uneasy during finally found the person to be loved. However same dialogues smart and mature (although strange if being said). Unfortunately this film did not end happy.
The message in this film was we must could forget the past. So although we felt pain the past, we must rise and dare to try. Secondly, if we were convinced found the person who was loved by us then we must immediately fight for his love. Lest regretted.
This film was suitable for them who had experienced the bitter experience about the love or was trying.. or in the exploratory stage. According to me by watching this film, we will see really costed the available person near us. At the same time learning to communicate better with our couple.

Message In a Bottle menceritakan tentang seorang wanita berputra satu,Theresa yang bekerja di bagian penelitian sebuah surat kabar. Suatu saat dia menemukan sebuah botol yang di dalamnya terdapat sebuah surat dengan sebuah logo dan surat itu di ketik dengan mesin ketik manual.

Membaca surat itu membuat Theresa terpukau. Merasa penasaran, dia mengatakan kepada editornya tentang surat itu. Sang editor yang juga merasa bahwa ini adalah hal yang menarik lalu memasang sebuah pengumuman kepada para pembacanya untuk menginformasikan kepada surat kabar tersebut jika mereka menemukan pasangan surat yang lain.

Akhirnya terkumpulah tiga surat cinta yang diperuntukkan bagi Chaterine. Theresa yang sudah familiar dengan penelitian pun berusaha melacak siapa penulis surat cinta yang romantis. Setelah melacak logo, jenis huruf dan mesin ketik manual dan jenis kertasnya, akhirnya dia mengetahui posisi pria tersebut.

Awalnya Theresa hanya penasaran untuk bertemu dengan pria tersebut dan ingin menjadikan dia bahan penelitian untuk berita yang akan ditulisnya. Setelah bertemu Garret,sang pria tersebut. Pandangan Theresa berubah. Garret di satu sisi adalah pria yang ramah dan lembut tetapi di sisi lain dia menyimpan luka yang dalam.

Garret kehilangan Chaterine, sang istri tercinta karena sakit penyakit dan Garret juga disalahkan atas kematiannya. Menyimpan duka yang dalam,Garret menjadi pria yang kesepian dan penyendiri. Theresa ternyata juga menyimpan duka dan kenangan pahit saat memergoki suaminya berselingkuh. Keduanya segera menemukan kesamaan masa lalu.

Akhirnya mereka saling jatuh cinta. Tetapi Garret masih terikat dengan masa lalu. Saat akhirnya menemukan bahwa Theresa pada awalnya hanya ingin memanfaatkannya,Garret marah dan meninggalkan Theresa. Keduanya berada dalam dilema.

Komentar Pribadi :

Ada banyak film drama, namun film ini mempunyai keistemewaan tersendiri. Hubungan kedua orang ini menurutku merupakan suatu hal unik. Kenapa unik ? Cara mereka berkomunikasi dan dialog-dialog dalam film ini unik. Sebagai penikmat film, tidak pernah sekalipun aku mendengar atau membacanya dalam film atau novel.

Mungkin karena mereka berdua sudah dewasa dan bukan mencari permainan cinta tetapi pasangan hidup. Akhirnya bentuk hubungan mereka menjadi unik. Perkataan "Kira-kira bagaimana bentuk hubungan kita ? Apakah hanya sekedar seperti ini atau akan berkembang ke hal lain ?"

"Aku punya nomer teleponmu dan kau punya nomer teleponku, apakah kau akan menelponku ? "

Atau saat Garret akhirnya menelpon Theresa setelah sekian lama tidak menelpon Theresa "..Aku masih tidak tahu apa yang harus kukatakan, bisakah kau memberikan saran ?"

Adalah beberapa dialog unik diantara dua orang yang pernah terluka karena cinta dan merasa gagap, canggung saat akhirnya menemukan orang untuk dicintai. Namun dialog-dialog itu juga cerdas dan dewasa (walau aneh kalau dikatakan).

Sayangnya film ini tidak berakhir bahagia. Pesan dalam film ini adalah kita harus mampu melupakan masa lalu. Seberapa perihnya masa lalu itu, kita harus bangkit dan berani mencoba. Kedua, jika kita yakin telah menemukan orang yang kita cintai maka kita harus segera memperjuangkan cintanya. Jangan sampai menyesal.

Film ini cocok untuk mereka yang pernah mengalami pengalaman pahit tentang cinta atau sedang berusaha ..atau dalam tahap penjajagan. Menurutku dengan menonton film ini,kita akan melihat betapa berharganya orang yang ada di dekat kita. Sekaligus belajar untuk berkomunikasi dengan lebih baik dengan pasangan kita.
