Smallville Season 9 Episode 6 Crossfire

Labels:

The Official CW Description (Posted 10/10/09):

Promo Video | Review | Download This Episode
OLIVER TAKES DC COMICS’ CHARACTER SPEEDY UNDER HIS WING - Oliver tries to help a young street girl, Mia AKA Speedy (guest star Elise Gatien), get out of her dangerous life by offering to train her, but Mia double crosses him. Lois asks Clark to help her land a job as an on-air television host, but the two are shocked when the station wants to hire them as a team. Allison Mack, Cassidy Freeman and Callum Blue also star. Mike Rohl directed the episode written by Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead.

Spoilers
Clark joins Lois on an audition for a for a television show called "Good Morning, Metropolis" on WGBS. Clark is very reluctant to do this, but insists he is only doing it for her.
- At one point Lois brings up the fact that Clark stood her up on their one and only date. (In "Infamous")
- Lois ends up getting the role as host of the show, but under one condition - she is also joined by Clark. The producer says they have chemistry, like "Hepburn and Tracy, Bogie and Bacall, and Regis and Kelly."
- A marketing ad featuring Clark and Lois is quickly presented to an already-uneasy Clark.
- The show sends Clark out on a date that is being watched by a producer and Lois in a control room. Lois is speaking to Clark throughout the date on an earphone. She teases Clark about the fact that in his profile, he admits that he "grew up on a farm" will get him nothing but a date with a country mouse or a cougar looking for her next meal.
- Clark’s date is with "Catherine," a 24 year old blonde beauty whose appearance leaves Lois a bit on the shocked side. Lois decides she wants to make Clark just as jealous as she is, and is determined to top this date
- Later Lois has a date where Clark is speaking to HER over an earwig. At one point Clark says "The last thing you need is a drink, Lois." (AGAIN with the drunk Lois stuff... sigh.)
- At some point - perhaps as they are getting ready - Clark tells Lois that her date is a lucky man. Lois smiles, glad that she seems to have made him jealous.
- There’s a scene between Clark and Chloe where they talk about the release form for the show, but we don’t know many details on that.
- There is a scene between Tess and Zod in the mansion. Zod has one of his people posing as a guard in his mansion, and tells him to make Tess reveal who the Blur is, or kill her.
- Oliver’s storyline involves him meeting Mia Dearden, and yes, this speedy girl wears lots of red and yellow. She’s also a hooker, working for a tattooed pimp named Rick, who doesn’t sound like a very pleasant character. At some point Mia takes Ollie for a quick spin in his Lamorghini, at which point he teasingly calls her "Speedy." Later, Oliver reveals the real reason he is there - he knows of her from an earlier encounter, and he wants to be able to help her. It sounds like redeeming Mia may be Oliver’s chance to redeem himself.
- Lois and Oliver have a scene at the Ace of Clubs. It appears that Oliver is going to be Lois’s arranged date, which could explain the "needing a drink" line from earlier.

Heroes Official Season 4 Write-Up From NBC

Labels:

NBC has released their official write-up for Season 4 of Heroes. There may be some SPOILERS within!
From creator/writer Tim Kring ("Crossing Jordan") comes the award-winning "Heroes," an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities.
On September 21, "Heroes" returns with its fourth season and a brand-new volume - "Redemption." As the dust settles from last season, our heroes attempt to settle back into their ordinary lives. But, as they will quickly discover, it’s not easy to go home again. They will face one pressing question: how do extraordinary people lead ordinary lives? Originally posted on HeroSite.net
Previously, in "Volume 4: Fugitives," our heroes made an attempt to return to their normal lives - but that attempt was cut short when Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) uncovered a deadly plot orchestrated by one of their own - Senator Nathan Petrelli (Adrian Pasdar). After revealing to the government that there were people with special abilities, Nathan spearheaded an initiative to capture and imprison those people and used Noah Bennet a.k.a. H.R.G. (Jack Coleman). Lives were torn apart. H.R.G.’s own marriage was destroyed. Tracy Strauss (Ali Larter) was killed -- literally shattered into frozen pieces.
Ultimately, it was Nathan who paid the price for his misdeeds - murdered at the hands of Sylar (Zachary Quinto). Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose), devastated at the loss of her son, and H.R.G., in need of an ally within the government, convinced Matt Parkman (Greg Grunberg) to use his ability to repair the damage. Matt used mind control and forced Sylar to shapeshift into Nathan, while erasing Sylar’s own memories so he truly believed he was Nathan. Now, as far as everyone else knows, Nathan is alive and well. And Sylar is gone. But all of that is about to change…
This season, "Volume 5: Redemption" begins with our heroes putting their lives back together.
Claire is finding that her biggest challenges are forgetting her old life and starting college. How does someone who has led such an extraordinary life assimilate back into everyday college life? Any semblance of normalcy is shortly overturned when Claire’s roommate commits suicide and Claire discovers her new friend, Gretchen (guest star Madeline Zima), is hiding a secret herself.
Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) goes back to his old life in Japan, but discovers that he has a terminal illness. When Hiro can no longer keep his illness hidden, he sets out to fulfill his own personal bucket-list - righting the mistakes of his past. But will Hiro be able to correct the errors of his ways without severely altering the past and present?
Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) returns to work as an ordinary New York City EMT, but he uses his abilities to save lives. Peter has become obsessed, looking for redemption and shutting out the rest of the world he once knew. How can he forget the past and begin anew? Peter’s life will quickly change when a hearing impaired woman, Emma (guest star Deanne Bray), enters his life. Emma has used her disability as an excuse to shut herself off from the world. But as a new and unique ability manifests, the shell she’s built around herself will begin to crack apart - as will Peter’s.
H.R.G. is adjusting to life as a single man. Charged with creating a new company, he is rapidly discovering that he needs more from his life. But how does a company man become ordinary? And, when Mohinder Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) returns and offers H.R.G. compelling evidence of a new danger, it makes H.R.G. wonder if he should get back in the game.
Tracy Strauss, having risen from the dead, is consumed with seeking vengeance, but soon realizes that she has a real opportunity to reinvent herself. The question is: who should she be?
Nathan Petrelli, not realizing who he really is, returns to the Senate and begins to notice strange changes in himself. Most alarming, Nathan discovers that he has new abilities. These changes are not lost on Angela, who recognizes them for what they truly are - the emergence of Sylar.
Meanwhile, racked by the guilt of what he did to Sylar and Nathan, Matt Parkman returns to life as an ordinary family man. All he wants to do is to raise his son, love his wife and return to a fulfilling career as an LAPD detective. But what Matt doesn’t know is that something unfamiliar is buried deep within his psyche - Matt can see and hear Sylar. And this specter will haunt him until Sylar is returned to his body.
The biggest challenge for our heroes is a strange and dangerous carnival comprised of a traveling band of outsiders with powerful abilities, led by a charismatic and powerful leader, Samuel (Robert Knepper). Alongside Samuel is his right hand man, Edgar (guest star Ray Park), a deadly Speedster with a talent for knives, and Lydia (guest star Dawn Olivieri) the Tattooed Lady.
Samuel leads his flock to intersect with the lives of all of our heroes. He will find them, and he will entice them to join him. And together, they will ask the same basic questions: Who are we? What does having powers mean to the world? How should we live our lives - shameful or proud? Should we hide or live out in the open? And if the world of powers is revealed, how will the world ever recover?
In 2009, "Heroes" has been honored with: a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show, a Teen Choice Award for Choice Action-Adventure Television Show, and a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. Among its honors in past seasons, "Heroes" has garnered a People’s Choice Award, an AFI Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, a TV Land Future Classic Award, the Television Critics Association Awards’ Outstanding Program of the Year, the International Prize at the BAFTA Television Awards, and Choice TV Show Action Adventure at the Teen Choice Awards. It has also garnered nominations at the Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, NAACP Image, WGA and Satellite Awards.

Smallville Novel Part 1

Labels:

Beside the TV Series, there are some product related to Smallville. One of those is Novel. Here a quote from Wikipedia about first novel that published by Aspect.

Three novels were released on October 1, 2002, one from Aspect and two from Little, Brown Young Readers. Aspect’s novel, Smallville: Strange Visitors, was written by Roger Stern and featured Clark and his friends trying to uncover the truth about two religious con-men who have set up shop in Smallville, and are using kryptonite in their spiritual seminars to rob the townspeople. Little, Brown Young Readers first published Arrival, which chronicles the events of the show’s pilot as written by author Michael Teitelbaum. The second book, See No Evil, was written by Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld, who have also written various episodes of the show. See No Evil follows Dawn Mills, a young actress who wants to attend Juilliard. Dawn has the ability to turn herself invisible, and after witnessing everyone talk negatively behind her back she decides to get revenge. When Clark discovers what Dawn has been doing he puts a stop to it. See No Evil was one of the original storylines outlined for the season one episode "Shimmer".

Smallville Season 9 Episode 8 Idol

Labels:

Director: Glen Winter
Guest Stars: David Gallagher (Zan), Allison Scagliotti (Jayna)

The CW Official Description :
The CW's Official Description (Posted 10/23/09): DC COMICS “THE WONDER TWINS” SHOW UP TO HELP CLARK CLEAN UP METROPOLIS — Superhero twins Zan (guest star David Gallagher) and Jayna (guest star Allison Scagliotti) show up in Metropolis to help The Blur fight crime but end up botching several rescues, landing Clark (Tom Welling) in hot water with the District Attorney’s office.  Clark decides to come forward as the Blur to clear his name.  Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Cassidy Freeman, Justin Hartley, and Callum Blue also star.  Glen Winter directed the episode written by Ann Coffel Saunders (#3X5255X).

Spoiler
-This episode will include two guest stars "Wonder Twins" , "Zan" will be played by David Gallagher of 7th Heaven fame; "Jayna" will be Allison Scagliotti who was recently seen on Warehouse 13. These two spray paint an "S" on the roof of a bad guy’s limo, to catch the attention of their "idol," the Blur.
- Later, the duo visit Watchtower and see all of the high-tech gear that Chloe has within. "Twyla" asks Chloe if she’s actually met the Blur, and if she is the Blur’s sidekick. Chloe tells them that Watchtower provides support to all of the heroes of Metropolis. "Twyla" wants to tweet her "group" about what she has seen, and Chloe warns that if she says one word to anyone about it, any trace of her virtual existence will be evaporated.
Meanwhile,
Lois meets her psychatrist, "Dr. Evans," and tells her there are things she wants to talk about off the record.
- Dr. Evans asks Lois to describe these dreams, and Lois tells her that they start off with "serious NC-17 violence" and then there’s a recurring event - involving clothes coming off. "Lots of... naked... skin. Skin on skin."
- Dr. Evans asks if these dreams are about Clark and Lois gets defensive and says that yes, she’s doing the "virtual kama sutra" with Clark Kent, and refers to her desk as "soft-core central."
- Dr. Evans suggests that Lois’s dream may have something to do with wanting to uncover something that’s hidden within Clark. Lois admits she does feel like he is hiding something, and that the closer she gets to him, the more she feels like Clark is going to disappear.
- "The Red-Blue Blur" calls while Lois is talking with Dr. Evans. The ring tone is "Holding Out For A Hero" (though of course this could change). Lois sends him to voice mail. Apparently the last time Lois opened up to the RBB, he vanished into thin air. The doctor suggests she still has feelings for this "mysterious caller," but Lois insists that he’s history like "eight-track tapes" and "rotary phones."
- Chloe by this point knows that Clark has been calling Lois as "The Blur." She is there with him on the other side of the line. There is a reference made to "what happened with Corbin" from "Metallo."
- Chloe tells Clark he’s going to need a better disguise.
- Something happens at one point that makes Lois think Clark is the Blur. The Blur does eventually reach her by the phone, however.
- Also in this episode it is Clark, not the Blur, who saves Lois from danger out on a ledge. There’s a scene (possibly around the same moment?) where Lois wants to confess her feelings for him, and Clark looks deeply into her eyes, though it’s unknown if they actually say anything.
- Dr. Evans tells Lois that there will be a time when she will have to choose between the Blur and Clark.
- Zan and Jayna may be transforming themselves into a black panther... and a sheet of ice.
- The Metropolis D.A., Ray Sacks, holds a televised press conference urging the Blur to "step out of the shadows." He invites Clark to show himself and take responsibility for his actions" at a public press conference and derides his work as "vigilante behavior."
- Later at the press conference, the Blur doesn’t show... but Lois does... announcing that she knows the Blur. She then has a monologue about how and why the Blur can’t come out and make his presence known, and that he needs to be what we all need - a symbol to believe in, and a light in the darkness.
- This episode will have a very "V For Vendetta" moment within.
-- A sign of the current state of the Chloe-Clark interaction: Chloe tells them
that "if you get good enough at it, one day you might find yourself saving your
best friend, from an enemy, or even from himself."

- Oliver ends up at a seedy club in Havana with two women in tow, and later ends up being chased by a large drug kingpin. He ends up having to be saved by one of his on-again, off-again associates and romantic partners.
- Meanwhile, Clark wears a tuxedo and a bow tie to gain entrance into the Ace of Clubs and goes by the nickname "Kennair." His "date" to the AoC? Lois in an elegant cocktail dress.
- Lois and Clark go to Metropolis General to interview a man who was held hostage, but it seems it may be a false lead. This still causes Clark’s "reporter instincts" to get "kicked into high gear."
- Lois and Clark also interview a female hostage.
- It seems that Clark might get a new power to hear others’ thoughts in this situation, hence the title.

Interview with Sam "Doomsday"Witwer Part 2

Labels:

Here the second part of William Keck’s ( from TV Guide Magazine) Interview with Sam Witwer :
The last piece left to correct is Chloe, who is not part of the adult Superman lore. Is Allison Mack concerned that she could be next?
I think she’s aware of that.

The wide assumption was that the Doomsday storyline would go down like it did in the comic books-with Doomsday killing Clark Kent, who would only later be resurrected. But that didn’t happen. Instead, the character was split into two personas, with Clark killing the monster and Jimmy killing Davis.
I actually thought that they might do that as well. I guess that’s supposed to happen later on in Clark’s career.

What was that tool that Jimmy killed Davis with?
(Laughs) I don’t know. Some kind of weird fork or something. In television, if you fall down on a chair, one of the legs of the chair is going to find a way to stab you in the chest.

How long did it take to film that scene?
A long time. More than half a day.

In the comics, Doomsday was the ultimate challenge for Superman. And I’m sure it was no coincidence that they chose him to be the last villain for what they believed would be Smallville’s final season. How can they possibly outdo themselves with General Zod next year?
I think they need to have a threat a lot wider than a few city blocks. It’s got to be someone who could destroy a lot more than Metropolis. Zod should be less about brute force and more about a brilliant enemy.

I thought throughout the season the monster looked quite terrifying. But last night there were a couple shots of him on the street looking very much like a guy in a Godzilla costume. What’s the story there?
(Laughs) Did it? I saw parts of that. The shoot is very tricky. I think the suit was very well done, but the best thing to do with suits is to put them in dark light and just see little pieces of it. Maybe you got too good a look at it.

Was that you in the suit?
No it’s not. One of the nice things about this gig was that my presence could be felt even when I was at home playing X-Box. A guy named Dario is the man in the suit. He’s a very tall guy-even taller than Tom. I’m 6’1 and used to being one of the taller guys on set, but on Smallville it wasn’t like that. Tom is like 6’3’’, 6’4’’ and Dario is even taller than him. They needed to find someone way taller than me for that suit.

Who do you think you’ll stay in touch with from the cast?
I love Cassidy [Freeman, who plays Tess]- she’s awesome. We’re both from Chicago and our fathers were acquainted. And I’d love to hang out with Aaron. Justin Hartley [Green Arrow] is hilarious and Tom’s really nice. There wasn’t a bad apple among them.

Interview with Sam "Doomsday" Witwer Part 1

Labels:

As we know, Sam Witwer who played Davis Bloome aka Doomsday, won’t back for Season 9. William Keck from TV Guide Magazine was interview Sam Witwer, and here the interview :
When he signed on as Smallville’s hunky paramedic, Davis Bloome, actor Sam Witwer knew it would only be for one season_the show’s last, everyone believed at the time. But a few story lines in the season finale caught even him by surprise.

Fans got a double shock in the season finale when both Davis and Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) died at each other’s hands. What was your reaction when you received the script?
It was definitely a shock. I didn’t see it going down like that, so I was very surprised. Aaron is such a great actor that I really disliked the idea of taking him out. I don’t know that I saw Davis freaking out and killing Jimmy. It’s my job to just say the lines convincingly, but that was something I struggled with.

Did you express your concerns to the writers?
I did, but they had their ideas. It is not for me to say what should happen. Throughout the season, they were very receptive to what I had to say. This was not a battle that I won. But I did my damnedest to take what I was given and run with it.

I see what you’re saying. The whole point of Clark wanting to spare Davis’ life by separating him from the beast was that he saw some potential good in Davis once he was free from Doomsday.
(Laughs) Yeah, that was the thing. I always tried to play Davis as a really good guy who was in a very bad situation. I never looked at him as a psychopath, just someone who was very broken. The one thing I was very clear on was that when he was stabbed and dying, that had to be a moment of peace for the character. He was okay with it.

With the characters having to mourn Jimmy, Chloe was never really shown reacting to the death of Davis, whom we were led to believe she deeply loved.
Did she, or did she not? Chloe’s argument was that she protecting Clark. I have no idea where the truth lies.

Jimmy got a funeral, but we never saw what happened to Davis’ body.
They stuffed him in a closet to deal with later.

You knew all along you were only on board for one season, right?
Yeah I did. When Smallville hired me they believed they had only one season left. But the ratings went up, so they realized there might be a ninth season. We didn’t know until fairly late in the season because they were trying to make a deal with Tom Welling (Clark) to come back. By then, they’d already mapped out my character. He was already killing people. Had we known there was going to be more than one season, we would have had Davis be a normal guy for a longer time before turning him toward where he was ultimately headed.

Was Aaron completely shocked to be killed off?
He may have been more prepared than I was. He told me that he had heard about it a few months back, but had to keep his mouth shut. I was crushed when I heard about him. I know that it wasn’t really the producers’ idea. It was some kind of concern about Jimmy Olsen being too old. He was supposed to be at least ten years younger when he interacted with Clark and Lois and DC is very concerned about protecting its properties. It had to be corrected as the show heads towards Clark becoming Superman.

Smallville's Metallo Image

Labels:

TV Guide Magazine has posted first look at Smallville’s Metallo. As we already know, Metallo whom play by Brian Austin Green will be a new DC character on Smallville Season 9. Here the full quote for you :
He was killed by a robotic assassin in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles last spring, and now Brian Austin Green is coming back to TV as a different kind of cyborg. In a two-episode arc on Smallville (beginning with the September 25 season premiere), Green plays John Corben, a new Daily Planet reporter who becomes the comic-book villain Metallo. In the aftermath of an accident, Corben is mysteriously outfitted with a heart made of kryptonite. Executive producer Kelly Souders won’t reveal the identity of his Frankenstein-esque savoir, but says Corben is turned into “a rough version of Metallo, a first attempt at the technology, and eventually he’ll get sleeker.” So might we see him again? “Well of course-it’s Smallville,” she says with a laugh. “We’re actually throwing some ideas around right now in the hopes that we might be able to bring him back for another episode.”

Entourage Plot Summaries

Plot synopsis

First season
The first season of Entourage chronicles Vincent Chase’s adventures as he climbs the celebrity ladder after his first successful movie: Head On. At the forefront of the first few episodes is the conflict between Vince’s best friend "E" and his agent Ari, who are both working to get the best for Vince, but often differ on how to accomplish this.
Vince’s next project is decided halfway through the season: Queens Boulevard. Signed on is indie director Billy Walsh, who comes into immediate conflict with E. Eventually their differences are put aside and the season ends with the start of production on Queens Boulevard, with E formally becoming Vince’s manager.
Running subplots include: Turtle’s laziness and quest for marijuana; Drama’s attempt to follow in his younger brother’s footsteps; E dating Ari’s assistant Emily (Samaire Armstrong); and Vince’s many and varied girlfriends.

Second season
The second season focuses on Vince’s proposed role in the movie adaptation of Aquaman as the eponymous hero. Ari’s inability to close the contract leads to trouble, but Vince manages to convince the film’s director, James Cameron, that he is right for the part. However, new problems arise when the role of the leading lady goes to Mandy Moore, Vince’s ex-girlfriend, for whom he still has feelings, but who is engaged to be married.
Mandy and Vince resume their romance after Mandy’s engagement shows signs of problems, but she eventually returns to her boyfriend. Initially devastated, Vince finds the will to go on with the movie in the end.
However, Ari has his own problems in the form of his boss and partner, Terrance McQuewick (Malcolm McDowell), who is trying to steal Vince away from him. Near the end of the season, their conflict reaches a head and Ari is fired from the agency. E, meanwhile, starts to date Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui), McQuewick’s daughter.
Meanwhile, Drama continues to try to become a star, even considering getting his calves augmented. He is eventually dropped by his agent, Adam Davies, after Vince decides to stick with Ari after Ari is fired. Turtle starts a career of his own, as manager of rapper Saigon.

Third season part 1
The third season continues with the Aquaman plotline as the movie premieres and becomes a huge hit. Problems arise however when Medellin, Vince’s dream project about the life of Pablo Escobar, conflicts with the schedule of Aquaman 2. The end result is that Vince is unable to star in either and is fired by Warner Bros..
Ari meanwhile has to juggle his new, failing, business with keeping Vince happy. Even though Ari manages to set up a successful new agency with the help of Barbara Miller (Beverly D’Angelo), it leads him to neglect his star client.
E’s relationship with Sloan comes into question when he has a threesome with her and her friend Tori (Malin Akerman), to whom E is attracted. Tensions rise further when E is confronted with Sloan’s stalker Seth Green.
Near the end of the season, Drama finally lands his big break as he’s signed on to the new series Five Towns. Turtle’s career as a music manager ends unceremoniously when he is bought out by Saigon’s original manager. In the season finale, Ari is fired as Vince’s agent when his abrasive methods lead to him being unable to secure a film about punk rock band The Ramones.

Third season part 2
The second part of the third season focuses almost entirely on Vince and Ari and the troubles surrounding Medellin. Attempting to get Vince back, Ari convinces him that he can secure the film after all. Vince’s new agent, Amanda (Carla Gugino), tries to steer Vince towards a different film, but he ends up refusing.
To compound their problems, Vince and Amanda both admit to a mutual attraction, and have a relationship. When Medellin once again slips Vince’s grasp, he questions Amanda’s motives. After proving her innocence, she drops him as both client and boyfriend. With the help of Ari, who is once again hired, Vince and E finally secure their dream project when they buy the rights to the film themselves. Billy Walsh is signed on as the director with E given his first shot at producer.
In the continuation of the previous part’s subplot, Drama’s star rises, and Five Towns becomes a hit. E moves in with Sloan.

Fourth season
The fourth season continues the Medellin plotline as production of the film finally begins. Conflicts quickly arise when E admits to being dissatisfied with the first cut after Walsh reluctantly agrees to a midnight screening. Vince and E subsequently clash over the creative direction and financing of the film in an arc which escalates through the season. There is much contention over the ending of the script, and Stephen Gaghan is brought in briefly, at which point Walsh comes up with what he believes to be a good ending.
When the Medellin trailer leaks to the public via YouTube, an opportunity is presented to leverage the resultant hype to broker a deal attaching Vince to a new big-budget project. The deal, however, is unexpectedly sold on the strength of not just Vince, but the "Medellin Dream Team" - also involving E as producer and Walsh as director - at the point when animosity between E and Walsh begins to come to a head. Consequently, E must decide between jeopardizing the deal, and the prospect of working on another project with Walsh, which he had previously sworn he would never do again.
Meanwhile, Ari contends with various complications in his personal and professional lives, including the incapacitating relationship troubles of his indispensable assistant, Lloyd, the uncertainty of his son’s acceptance into the exclusive private school his daughter attends, and interpersonal conflicts between employees of his agency.
E navigates unfamiliar waters as he clumsily attempts to expand the representation of his fledgling management agency beyond Vince, his only client at the time. By chance he comes to meet and subsequently represent Anna Faris, but when his loyalty to Vince and his personal feelings for Faris are set at odds with one another and compromise his professional judgement, he is ultimately fired by Faris.
Drama and Turtle are featured throughout the season in various subplots that see them engaging in the type of antics typical of their characters, such as procuring marijuana and engaging in furry fetishes via Craigslist on a bet.
In the season finale, the entourage travel to Cannes to promote Medellin, and sign a distribution deal. However, the film bombs with the Cannes audience, and they are forced to accept an offer from producer Harvey Weingard (whom they earlier rebuffed) of a mere one dollar for the movie.

Fifth season
The show’s fifth season begins with Vince and Turtle on a beach in Mexico, while Eric and Ari try to get Vince an opportunity to get his career back on track back in California. Medellin has gone straight-to-DVD, and made numerous worst-of-the-year lists, with Vince’s performance coming under fire from critics as well. Drama is also in Hollywood, continuing production of his show Five Towns while maintaining a long-distance relationship with his French girlfriend Jacqueline. Ari and E remain unsuccessful in convincing Vince to return to the States until Ari gets a sit-down for Vince with producer Carl Ertz about a new movie titled "Danger Beach". When Vince and Turtle return, they all realize that Ertz was not actually interested in Vince but was instead using him to secure Emile Hirsch for the role. Seemingly at a dead end, Vince returns to basics and begins reading scripts Ari claims are already taken. One, named Nine Brave Souls, sticks out to Eric. Meanwhile Drama’s nervousness about Jacqueline possibly cheating on him leads to their break-up and he works himself through a guilty frenzy that reaches its peak when he breaks down during a guest appearance on The View. Eric sees potential in Nine Brave Souls and approaches the writers to begin representing them. He gets Ed Norton and Amanda Daniels (Carla Gugino) interested, and they change the name of the movie to Smoke Jumpers. When Ari finally reads the script of Smoke Jumpers he convinces Eric to start a bidding war for the movie with Vince attached. Amanda refuses to participate and passes on it until later reconsidering and making an offer. However, Alan Gray, the man who fired Vince from the sequel to Aquaman, outbids them.
Ari asks for the second lead in Smoke Jumpers for Vince but Alan Gray says no. Vince is offered a role in a new "Benji" movie but after considering it he realizes that Smoke Jumpers is still the movie he really wants. Ari, determined to get Vince the role he desires, challenged Alan to a round of golf for the part. Alan brings PGA Tour pro Phil Mickelson along as a coach and beats Ari. Venting his anger, Alan begins to yell at Ari for even bringing up Smoke Jumpers, knowing he hates Vince; but suddenly drops dead of a heart attack. At Alan’s funeral, Ari takes the opportunity to ask John Ellis, Alan’s boss, about giving the role to Vince. Ellis instead offers him Alan’s position as president of the studio, with Amanda Daniels (Carla Gugino) as the number-two choice for the job. Rather than accepting the offer and abandoning his clients, Ari instead gets Dana Gordon the job, therefore locking up Smoke Jumpers for Vince. Meanwhile, Turtle meets Jamie-Lynn Sigler on an airplane and the two hit it off, but their potential relationship is ruined when Turtle tells the guys she gave him a handjob and they tell everyone. It was revealed to be true.
Smoke Jumpers begins filming and Vince becomes increasingly angry when his co-star, Jason Patric, steals several of his lines. He discovers that the director, Verner (Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd), gave his lines to Patric. Vince talks to Verner about his frustration over how few of lines he’s been given, and rather than giving him more, he tells Vince about his bad acting habits. Ari signs his old colleague Andrew Klein (Gary Cole) as a new partner in MGA.
Verner eventually fires Vince from Smoke Jumpers when one scene is shot several times without good results and Vince gets angry. Ari flies in but cannot convince Verner to give Vince another chance, so he seeks Gordon’s intervention. She scolds Verner but he storms into a conference room where Ellis is in a board meeting. Furious, Ellis pulls the plug on the whole movie. Meanwhile, Jamie-Lynn forgives Turtle for opening his mouth and appears to want to start a relationship with him if he keeps quiet, so they spend the day together and consider spending the weekend together. However, their plans are cut short when he receives a call from Vince explaining the situation and they all fly back to Queens for a week.
With Vince’s future in acting looking dim, his relationship with Eric is tested when Vince pursues a role in Gus Van Sant’s new film. Eric persistently tracks down Gus in an attempt to convince him to meet with Vince, despite Ari’s opposition. Gus refuses, saying he has seen all of Vince’s work and he is not a fan, but agrees to see the Smoke Jumpers footage. Meanwhile, Jamie-Lynn reveals her relationship with Turtle to the guys. Gus calls back saying he loves the footage and claims that he would love to work with Vince, but not on his current project. Vince becomes upset and fires Eric, believing that Eric had made Vince look desperate. A heartbroken Eric returns to Hollywood to concentrate on another one of his clients, a young and rising comedian named Charlie. Vince later apologizes after learning that Eric’s persistence led to an offer by Martin Scorsese for a lead in his next feature, a re-envisioning of The Great Gatsby set in the Upper West Side of New York City. The episode ends with them all back in Hollywood on their way to celebrate. The final episode also includes a cameo appearance by Michael Phelps.
Sixth season
The season begins with Vince getting his driver’s license, by bribing the driving instructor. Vince is preparing for his new role as Enzo Ferrari in an upcoming movie. Vince and the boys attend the premiere of his film Gatsby, directed by Martin Scorsese. Eric and Sloan renew the friendship, with Eric wanting to be a little more than friends. However, Eric is truly ’playing the field’ as the boys often refer to his many different girls. Eric takes Sloan to the Gatsby premiere ’as friends’. Eric’s other client Charlie is cut from his show, much to Eric’s dismay. After rejection by Sloan, Eric chooses to see another girl Ashley exclusively, who appears to be quite star-struck with the movie star lifestyle.
Ari is having trouble with his new employee and friend Andrew Klein, who is cheating on his wife with a junior agent named Lizzie. Lloyd also seeks a promotion, which Ari promises if he can get through a 100 day ’hazing’ period, which includes tasks such as losing 15 pounds. After Turtle makes his red-carpet debut with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, he feels pressure from others that he is not good enough for her. Additionally, he is trying to start his own career, but after failing to get a business loan he decides to go back to school at UCLA Extension and learn how to properly start a business. Drama offers to pay for his schooling as a birthday gift.
When a monsoon damages the set of Vince’s upcoming film, production gets pushed back 12 weeks. With his newfound free time he wishes to travel, but Eric, Turtle and Drama all have their own agendas that don’t allow for a vacation. With Charlie being replaced on his television show, Eric once again finds Vince as his only working client. As a result, he decides to close The Murphy Group after admitting a lack of knowledge on how to properly run the business. Drama learns that his character on Five Towns will be getting a love interest, and asks Turtle if Jamie-Lynn would be willing to play the part. After some hesitation on Turtle’s part prior to asking her, she agrees to do it.
David Schwimmer comes in to the Miller Gold Agency to listen to pitches for television series ideas, but seems to particularly connect with Lizzie. He invites her out to lunch, which visibly makes Andrew Klein jealous. Ari and his wife had received a phone call the night before from Marlo (Andrew’s wife) asking if they had seen him. The following morning Andrew assured Ari that he was ending his affair with Lizzie. However, when David Schwimmer calls Ari and tells him Andrew crashed the lunch with Lizzie, Ari realizes it’s not over between them and finds Andrew having a mental breakdown in his car in the parking garage. he tells him to think of his family and how he doesn’t want to be seen by them as a liar. He misinterprets this advice and leaves Marlo.
Eric and Ashley’s relationship develops, and they become close to each other. Sloan calls Eric to tell him that she will be chairing the charity golf tournament that he and the boys are attending the next day. Ari and Mrs. Ari are at odds after Ari avoided telling her about Klein’s affair, and he tries to buy her back with a Maserati, which she rejects. Vince, Drama and Turtle play golf with Mark Wahlberg and Tom Brady at the tournament. Drama embarrasses himself due to his temper, and Turtle surprisingly forms a bond with Brady, who invites him and Jamie-Lynn to dinner. Eric plays golf with Murray Berenson (George Segal), a talent manager, and he offers Eric a job with his company. Eric turns the job down realizing Sloan had asked Berenson to talk to Eric. Eric and Sloan have a heated argument before Eric leaves. Ashley encourages him to take the job, asking why he won’t. He replies that he doesn’t know, and then accidentally calls her Sloan in a kind of Freudian slip.
Lil’ Wayne is expected to appear in an episode as himself. On March 6 2009, Dan Patrick of Sports Illustrated reported on his radio show that LeBron James would also make a cameo in an episode. Los Angeles Lakers’ center Andrew Bynum is also expected to cameo. Steve Nash, the point guard of the Phoenix Suns, has also revealed via his Twitter that he will also have a cameo appearance in the season premiere.[12] Aaron Sorkin recently confirmed on his Facebook Group he would be guest appearing on the show as himself. Israeli 2004 Miss Israel Gal Gadot will act as Vince’s girlfriend for several episodes. Kate Mara will be joining the cast of Entourage this season, TVGuide.com has confirmed. Mara will play E’s new assistant at his fledgling talent-management company, and perhaps his love interest as well. Also Zac Efron will be making a cameo as he was filming on June 1st, 2009 at the Hollywood NikeTown.[12] It was confirmed on 14th July 2009, that Matt Damon will be making a guest appearance on the show. Heroes Season 4 : More and More Spoilers

Labels:

The fifth volume of Heroes is titled "Redemption."
It’s apt.
After all, while it wasn’t directly brought up at last week’s Comic-Con, the question foremost on many audience members’ minds was whether or not the new season would redeem the show from a string of unpopular developments and storylines over the last two years.
Based on the spoilers below, revealed by cast members at the TV and movie festival, will the series win back disenchanted viewers? You tell us...
  • Peter will interact with a new speedster, knife-throwing newbie Edgar (Ray Park). Look for a cool kung fu knife fight between the characters.
  • Tim Kring explained the main theme of the volume: "We’re creating a new wrinkle in the mythology of the show. Alongside [our Heroes], there was another group, this family who had powers, who could live among us and hide in plain sight."
  • A compass will somehow play a key role.
  • Hayden Panettiere didn’t dispel rumors of a shark-jumping lesbian storyline, describing a new pal in college as "friend with privileges."
Sadly, Masi Oka also said that time travel would, once again, play a prominent role this season.
"We see time traveling a lot more," he said. "[Hiro’s] redemption is going back in time and fixing things he’s done wrong. He has kind of a bucket list. He wants to make amends."
Oka added that Hiro will meet a younger version of himself. Does this get you excited for the new volume?
